“Boozy Fridays presents The Espresso Martini cocktail”
The Bar Institute in order to celebrate, with his own “bartenders’ way the International coffee day tomorrow on 1st of October, we present the Espresso Martini Cocktail, the ultimate coffee cocktail.
At Fred’s Club in the late 1980s, British bartender Dick Bradsell invented the drink, originally called The Vodka Espresso then the Pharmaceutical Stimulant. The story goes that a young model, sidled up to the bar and asked for something to “wake me up and f**k me up”. His solution was a combination of vodka, fresh espresso, coffee liqueur and sugar, shaken into a frothy mix of bittersweet addiction.
Who would have thought vodka and espresso go so well together?
The Espresso Martini is now a worldwide classic, many more have claimed to have invented it.
