The Brandy Alexander Cocktail @ TBI Boozy Fridays vol. 27

The Brandy Alexander, was created before 1930 debut in Craddock’s book, although it was first named Alexander Cocktail No2 and then was known as the Panama until 1940’s Cocktail, called for gin as a base liquor. ( Taken from: Gary Regan – The joy of Mixology). 

“The Brandy Alexander” original formula:

– 60ml Brandy

– 30ml Dark creme de cacao

– 30 ml Heavy cream

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish


The Bar Institute’s variation : “Ron Alejandro”

– 40 ml Diplomatico Mantuano

– 25ml Monin Dark creme de cacao

-25 ml Heavy cream

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish
